Wouldn’t it be fantastic if all our churches were enthusiastically and effectively reaching unchurched and unbelieving people with the Gospel? The hinge on which the door to effective outreach swings is building relational bridges to people not yet connected with Christ and His Church. Since 2005, Transforming Churches Network has partnered with over 750 LCMS churches, impacting the quality and scope of their outreach. Now, that basic training is being made available to all the churches of our area as a one-day seminar.
Of course, getting out of the church building and engaging the community can be scary and intimidating for many of us. And yet, there is no better way to learn about the needs, the culture, and the people in your local community than by actually meeting with them and talking to them. This training event is all about demonstrating for the congregation how to bridge the gap between the church and the community by assessing and meeting needs, building relationships, and forming connections. Practical examples, strategy, and tactical approaches will be shared!
Who should attend this event? Pastors and church leaders who want their congregation to become more engaged with their local community for the sake of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; anyone who wants to more effectively reach unchurched and unbelieving people in their community through their church and personal witness.
